You really want nice, beautiful pictures of your family. Enjoying the outdoors in nature, running, playing together. Doing what you do every weekend. And to take a picture where everyone looks into the camera with a smile.
Spontaneous family shoot
I went out with this family in the Kennemerduinen, near Bloemendaal. I always indicate that I mainly focus on spontaneous photos. With children it is very difficult to guarantee that everyone looks into the camera smiling. Especially if you ask for it. As soon as you ask for it, you get to see protruding tongues, cross-eyed eyes and funny faces.
So you should absolutely not ask for it, just have fun. That’s always what I try to do with family shoots. Having fun, asking silly questions, giving fun assignments and clicking often. And who knows, that one might be in between. If not, we have plenty where you just have fun together!
As you really are
With this family I did a mix: I had assignments and questions, so I let them run, cuddle and just sit together obediently. But I also just let the kids do their thing and took pictures of it. This way you get pictures of what your family really is like.
What I like the most are the assignments that go ‘wrong’: the assignment where they hug a family and fall over. How happy do they look there ?! But the hugs and madness are also fun to watch.
